About Project RYTMO

Project RYTMO is a project founded in 2003 by CLAMA, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to serving youth who desire a career in music. Project RYTMO [Reaching Youth Through Music Opportunities] is an after school music program designed to provide a positive, creative and professional environment for underserved youth who demonstrate musical, technical and/or business potential in the arts.

Our mission is to educate, empower and equip youth through music,  music technology and artistic development. Our services include: Occupational Training, Artistic Development, Entrepreneurial Skills, Life Skills, Tutoring, Work Experience, Community Service and Adult Mentoring. Project RYTMO is a free program available to youth ages 14-24, thanks to The Department of Labor, several WIA funded cities, and various sponsorships and donations.

Since 2003, we have serviced over 240 at-risk and adjudicated youth. Many of our youth go on to start their own record labels, video & audio companies, perform live shows or produce music for themselves and other artists. Other youth go on to acquire jobs, receive accreditation through school or even simply develop a sense of personal agency in their lives, like getting off the street or overcoming detrimental barriers in their lives.

The RYTMO courses are hands-on and involve the study of Music History, Music Theory, Commercial Songwriting, Digital Recording, Beat-making, Production, Vocal Exploration, Instrument Lessons, Performance Techniques, Live Audio/Engineering, Music Business and Project Development. Classes are held at Love & Laughter Recording Studios in Anaheim, CA. This unique and professional setting allows for youth to appreciate and be exposed to a state-of-the-art recording facility with top-of-the-line equipment.

Participants will develop practical skills in which to express their creative talents, attain greater personal and scholastic achievement, and gain fundamental occupational skills for the music industry. At the same time, Project RYTMO is committed to teaching life-enriching skills such as goal setting, project planning, leadership skills, professionalism, group interaction and disciplined behavior that will help prepare participants for a future career in entertainment. Its instructors, mentors and volunteers are made up of highly regarded and progressive leaders within the community who have experience working with youth in educational settings and have powerful professional stories that connect with the youth of today.

We are always seeking qualified Youth, Volunteers, Sponsors & Donors, Tutors, Individual & Corporate Sponsorships, Community Partnerships and strategic collaborations with non-profit youth organizations and law enforcement agencies. Feel free to contact us if you or someone you know may be interested in collaborating with us.
