Help Transform Lives and Realize Dreams

You can directly impact the lives of young musicians by sponsoring tuition scholarships or contributing to our Berklee Summer Music Performance Program scholarship fund.

Tuition Scholarships

Many RYTMO students come from low-income families in Orange County and surrounding areas. Your generous donation can help these talented individuals access quality music education:

Berklee Summer Music Performance Program

Every July, RYTMO sends at least one deserving student to the prestigious Berklee College of Music’s 5-week summer performance program in Boston, MA. While Berklee covers the cost of classes, RYTMO sponsors the student’s expenses, including airfare, room and board, meals, and transportation, amounting to approximately $5,000.

The Samuel Adams Legacy Scholarship Fund

Mr. Adams was a strong proponent of youth and higher education along with his love of music, especially jazz. It is through the generosity of the Samuel Adams Legacy Scholarship fund, that RYTMO has placed many of its students an opportunity to attend and participate in the Berklee College of Music’s City Music Network’s 5-week summer performance program held each July in Boston. Over the years, RYTMO has placed 17 students that have participated in the 5-week, and many offered scholarships to attend Berklee. The scholarship fund has also provided RYTMO with the necessary means to further its music curriculum which is now provided nationally and internationally.

The Cindy Badell-Slaughter Scholarship Fund

Ms. Badell-Slaughter was very proactive at RYTMO, not only in providing over the years, 11 Film and Television Summits for youth, but also the guidance of a 10-song CD of RYTMO students’ original compositions that many went on to get published and placed on daytime television, one being Emmy nominated. With over 25 years of music operations, music clearance, licensing, and administration experience covering television, film, and advertising, Cindy was President of Heavy Hitters Music Publishing.
